Welcome to 7NM for 2018

This blog will provide you with a clear idea of any specific prep and assignments which need to be completed on a daily/weekly basis. This page operates in conjunction with our Google Classroom page. Please check both on a daily basis.

 Each week there will be a small clip or piece of writing that I would like you to consider as an interesting example of effective written language.......


SOCIAL SCIENCE
  • Weekly Current Events Quiz is due by Friday along with a paragraph based on one of the questions or images (not the flag). Your paragraph should outline what happened as well as when, where and who was affected. Try and also explain how or why the event happened.

Science

Boys - please ensure you are up to date with your Science work, as discussed in class can you please create a new heading - Rubbish and Waste.

Under the heading of Rubbish and Waste, please find the definition of:

Reduce means to ....
Recycle means to ....
Reuse means to ....

Personal Voice/Opinion

Please answer the following question using your own opinion and personal voice/knowledge to construct a well thought out answer to the following statements. 

We need to reduce the amount of Rubbish and Waste we use on a daily basis because......

Five examples of ways we/people can reduce waste is by changing their daily habits.

Year 7 Science: Sustainability Homework

Your Sustainability, Climate Change and Reduce, Reuse and Recycle title page was due for completion today - Monday 6 August 2018.
Please find questions you need to answer by Monday 20th August 2018 on Marine Reserves in your Science Book please boys.

Week Five:

Social Science - complete quiz and a decent paragraph that outlines what happened, when, where, who was affected or involved and possibly why it occurred - can be based on a quiz question or image. Also 'Global Citizenship' title page with images and frame. 
Science Homework:

Please ensure you create your 5 star Title page is completed boys.

Force and Motion:


Find a picture of Sir Isaac Newton similiar to the below picture and print it off to use within your Science book when we learn about his 'Newtons Laws of Motion'.  
Can you also find a separate picture of his famous gravitional force Science equation!  It's world famous.

  • Global Citizenship Title page - hand or digitally created - must have appropriate images and a frame. Ensure any words are spelt correctly. Due Monday.

Something to watch and think about for your writing development

Social Science
Complete definition work, remembering to note your sources. Finish the Weekly Quiz in the back of your book. Choose one question or image to write a more detailed paragraph about - think about the 5 'w's' - what, who, where, when, why and also, possibly how. Complete this paragraph at the back of your books.
